Building Schools in Putian
In 2006, CMIA donated RMB-3 million in a dollar-for-dollar matching arrangement with the Putian City Government (i.e. total RMB6 million raised) to build 3 primary schools (荔城区新溪小学, 莆田市城厢区东坡小学, 涵江区码头小学) catering to the needs of farmers' children in Putian and neighboring farming regions.
CMIA's main objective of the charitable gift was to provide an opportunity to farming families to provide a meaningful and beneficial foundational education for their children.
